GRC Mechanical Services was established in 1948 as a refrigeration service
organization. Today we are a full service HVAC&R mechanical contractor with many long-time and loyal commercial and residential
clients. We think that fact speaks to the uncompromising quality of our work.
GRC Mechanical Services is owned
and operated by two professional engineers who are cousins, Fred G. Russenberger, Jr., PE. and John P. Russenberger, PE.
Our company is broken into three departments Service, Installation, and Engineering. The Service Departments primary
function is to implement maintenance programs, reduce clients operating expenses, minimize expensive breakdowns, remote monitor
equipment operation and provide prompt service in the event of a breakdown. Through our Service Department we provide
technical solutions that promote a relationship and instill confidence with our clients. This is the foundation for the Engineering
Departments design build services.
Eighty percent of our installation work comes from our existing clients for
whom we design the entire system or are called upon to comment on their existing design. Our Installation Department
will then utilize its duct fabrication and installation, rigging, pipe fitting, plumbing, and control wiring capabilities
to complete the task.
OUR STAFF: GRC Mechanical Services involves itself with diverse projects
and products ranging from wine cellars to refrigerated warehouses and sanitary plumbing to energy recovery systems.
In order to handle various tasks with the same work force it is essential that we cross train our people to be proficient
with multiple trade capabilities.
At GRC training is carried out in three ways. Engineers and senior staff will
coach others informally on the job. In the colder months we will have dinner together after working hours and watch training
videos on new products, procedures, or on existing technology for the new personnel. Our distributors and manufacturers also
provide programs that are not mandatory but are essential to new skill development.
Employee incentives which are
awarded regularly are derived from their level of personal performance as well as the performance of their peers. The company’s
success is a byproduct of the success of its employees. Employee incentives, retirement programs, quality health coverage,
and other employee benefits are our key to attracting and retaining our valued staff.
OUR FUTURE: GRC Mechanical Services growth rate is healthy but is being monitored so that we maintain our high standard of service our
clients have become accustomed to.
In an era of automation and declining quality customer service we strive to
hold on to the personal service of yesterday. That’s why at GRC Mechanical Services you will always be greeted by a
friendly informed staff that knows your name and can assist in expediting results.
Every period in time brings
new challenges. In the nineties it was refrigerant phase outs and deregulation of utilities; in the new millennium it is rising
energy costs and a shrinking workforce.
We have already begun to focus our attention towards these challenges and
will use a combination of new technology, and good old fashioned customer service to serve our clients in the future.
Our Affiliations Air Conditioning Contractors Of America (ACCA) ACCA is the largest association of HVACR contractors and the preferred service provider for
members in all 50 states and worldwide.
