EQUIPMENT
REPLACEMENTS:
The first step to a
quality equipment replacement begins with a professional design.
Most of us don't think about "design" when we think of heating and cooling, but it's just as important
as a solid architectural design. A professional HVAC contractor won't simply replace what you have now with new equipment.
It's possible that your existing system wasn't sized properly to begin with!
To make sure your new HVAC system meets your needs for comfort and energy efficiency,
a quality contractor will perform the following steps:
1. Manual "J" calculations are the foundation of your system and
determine your homes BTU and air flow requirements. We perform detailed Manual "J" calculations for all HVAC systems
we install.
2. Manual "D" calculations determine duct sizes to ensure that the design
air flow rates match the systems operating specifications. We use Manual "D" for all residential duct sizing.
3. Proper duct insulation and sealing is essential to your system's operating efficiency. In most cases, attic duct
insulation should be rated at R- 6when combined with sealing all supply and return ducts, can save up to 20% of your systems
air capacity that might otherwise be lost to the attic. We perform proper duct sealing and insulation on all jobs.
4. We confirm system performance testing at the conclusion of every installation to ensure the system is operating
according to design.
